The Life-Changing Skills Every Women Should Know About to Get Out of Their Own Way

There is something in common with a lot of women I work with: they are standing in their own way! The last month or so I’ve been on calls with clients that have been using the pandemic, the elections, and now the holiday season as excuses to not doing the personal development work they need to do in order to live Intentional Lives.

Yes, there’s been a lot of solemn news with growing Covid cases, deaths, riots, fires, hurricanes, and negative political campaigning. No one wants this to be our “new normal” by any means. But, it is our reality in the moment.

This reality led me to thinking about what my clients were saying more deeply because as their coach, I need to help them transform their lives...intentionally. We use a lot of tools in my practice, and I teach these tools in the masterclasses within the lifestyle coaching membership and in private 1:1 sessions. I’ve even shared many of the strategies in the blog with the purpose of helping women get out of their own way and move on and forward in their lives.

So, what are some of the life-changing skills every women should know?

A major paradigm shift happens with self-awareness...when we learn to be mindful and listen to our own self-talk. Our thoughts are so powerful because they create our feelings, and we all know what feelings can do...and not do. This is when we can spiral out of control with anxiety, depression, and anger.

A growth mindset is a great tool for clearing your path, motivating you, and guiding you on achieve your goals. Of course there are other skills like positive affirmations, visualization exercises, meditation, gratitude, forgiveness, and self-care practices.

Learning and practicing these skills takes time and purpose. Some of the strategies I personal use and teach are journaling, praying, meditating, and vision boarding. Matter of fact, with the end of the year approaching, I’m preparing my 2021 vision board now. This one exercise has been miraculous in my life. It’s not just the practice of Law of Attraction; yes, I love attracting new experiences, material items, and achievements into my life, but it’s so much more. It’s creating the clarity and direction for my life; it’s connecting to values and beliefs that I hold dear. And, it’s about living my Intentional Life

Another life-changing skill is practicing self-care. This includes making my time a priority...so I created a personal yearly calendar...it’s the foundation of my life-management system. I invest some quality time in preparing my calendar, answering essential questions thoughtfully, and choosing my Top 3 (explained more fully in the membership) so that I can achieve more and live intentionally.

When you learn to prioritize self-care, you develop the self-love, confidence, and self-worth that allows you to make better decisions, achieve more, and live happier...after all, don’t we all want to live happily ever after...whatever that means to us as individuals?

These strategies are just the tip of the iceberg, as they say, but there are several ways to learn more...read more of our lifestyle blog posts, follow me on social media for positivity and thought provoking posts, and work with me (I have 6 and 12 week private coaching programs, an online monthly membership, and limited hourly intuitive coaching sessions available).

With less than sixty days left of 2020, how are you preparing to get out of your own way? Are you thinking ahead to 2021 and what you’d like to do, achieve, and be? YOU are the creator of your life...create and live your best life...an Intentional Life!

Until next time...

Lisa
