 Simple Ways to Instantly Boost Your Confidence

Building confidence and finding our innermost beauty is a time commitment. It takes time to plant the seeds and cultivate change. What happens when you need confidence now? Is there a way to instantly boost confidence? Totally!

While you are growing your roots deep into the confidence soil and taking in the nutrients you need to internalize how amazing you are, there are some instant gratification methods to boost your confidence. From clothing to an invigorating playlist, here are my top ten confidence boosting activities:

  1. Apply bold lipstick- Applying a bold and fashionable color of lipstick will instantly boost your confidence. Always keep a stash on hand to confidently make a statement. I like the 12 hour lip stains.

    2.  Get some great sunglasses- Bold sunglasses are a great way to boost your      confidence and keep yourself a bit incognito. Go for large frame stunners that have        some bling! I just got my first pair of prescription sunglasses and love them!

    3.  Enjoy a fresh haircut- When’s the last time you had a fresh haircut? From a new cut to a simple blowout and style, having your hair updated is a perfect way to instantly boost your confidence.

   4.  Wear some color- First off, black is a color! Wear a bold or bright color to boost your confidence. Add a bright necklace or accent scarf to your ensemble and you’ll instantly feel more confident. I love collecting scarves on my travels and often sew up a batch of my own with special fabrics...fun!

  5.  Have a drink- All things in moderation, soft drinks and hard drinks are a wonderful pick-me-up. From a fun and sassy mojito to a refreshing lemonade, enjoy a beautiful drink in a gorgeous glass with a fancy straw and garnish when you need to boost your energy and confidence. I appreciate a glass of wine while making dinner...it's a great way for me to transition my day to evening.

 6. Flatter someone- Want to feel amazing? Flatter someone else. Sharing your highly personalized compliment will brighten someone’s day and their energy will bounce back to you and boost your confidence. Life is very much like a mirror, so make sure to smile, be authentic, and share a compliment.

7.  Tip someone too much- Being generous is powerful. Giving is a simple way to feel confident. Giving sends the signal that you see there is no lack in this world. To give is to be confident in your finances and your future. Live from a place of abundance.

8.  Blast your playlist- Apps like Pandora and Spotify are perfect for cultivating highly personalized playlists that you can blast when you need to feel energized and confident. I often ask Alexa to play some music I would enjoy and it inspires me to get things done.

9.  Say Y.E.S!- Is there something that you have been asked that you’re afraid to do? Say YES to it. Being in over your head is a great way to rise to the occasion. Doing what you need to do to overcome your fear is an instant confidence booster. Add some excitement, adventure, and fun by saying YES!

 10. Buy a book- Reading a great biography, watching a documentary, or listening to a podcast about men and women who have overcome great odds boosts confidence. Knowing other people have faced adversity - sometimes the same one you are facing - empowers, uplifts, and encourages. We can ALL inspire, encourage, and support others.
