Routines, Rituals, and YOU!

Have you ever monitored how you spend your time? The daily practices of watching television, going to work or doing chores, running errands, and taking coffee breaks is just one area of our lives that we can measure, but how about the daily routines, rituals, and habits that fill the other moments of our lives?

For some of us, we’d be surprised how many moments are wasted away.

But I’d like you to try a little exercise to learn how to be more intentional with your time.

For the next few days, write down everything you do in your day. That means the car trips to drop kids off or do errands; the time you spend on self-care, including daily grooming, and all the other moments of your day.

For me, this includes my meditation and prayer practice, reading my daily meditations, personal and professional development texts, and writing...from my journaling practices to this blog, my ebooks and memoir. I also indulge in television, walking and exercising, and a plethora of other activities.

Once you know how you are spending your time, you can evaluate your observations, and then make changes that YOU choose!

The time that you have is the most valuable asset you own...and you don’t know how much of it you actually have, so it’s essential to be in control of it...every moment.

When you live an Intentional Life, you fill your moments with love, laughter, joy, prayer, peace, grace, and kindness. You choose the thoughts you’d like to focus on. You choose the feelings you’re responsible for. You choose your happiness, joy, and life.

As we start this new year and decade, let’s start by being intentional...choose YOU!

Until next time...

Cheers!

Lisa
