These Very Small Changes to Your Relationship Will Help You to be Much Happier

What's the secret to a good relationship? In reality, there isn't one. Instead, there are countless things that contribute to a relationship being successful or not and in order to be happy you need to make sure that you have everything going for you and on your side.

That said though, one thing that often gets overlooked when it comes to relationships is the importance of the small details.

Think about the last time you felt awash with love for your partner. In all likelihood it will have been something very small that triggered it. Maybe they sent you a loving text. Maybe they brought you a cup of tea when you were feeling down. Or maybe they said something nice about you in front of your mutual friends.

These small gestures can often add up to be the difference between a happy relationship and one that is struggling. This is the basic principle of 'kaizen' and when you apply it to relationships then amazing things can happen.

Here are just a few small changes you can start making that will right away help you to both be happier in your relationship…

  • Make the bed in the morning – So that when you go to bed at night it will be warm and cozy and ready for you!
  • Send the occasional thoughtful text – Show each other you're thinking of them by sending texts occasionally that say 'I love you'. There doesn't have to be a reason.
  • Sleep naked together – Studies show that couples who sleep naked together are happier and even that they live longer!
  • Buy impromptu gifts – Just like the random text can go a long way, so too can the impromptu gift.
  • Have a hug in the morning – Hugs can do a great deal of good and they also happen to be the perfect way to start any day.
  • Have a date night – Having a date night whether it's once a week or once a fortnight will give you something to look forward to and a chance to do something nice as just the two of you.
  • Be spontaneous with sex – The occasional spontaneous sexy surprise can absolutely make your day and is a great way to feel closer.
  • Hold hands – Another easy one that builds closeness and has statistically been shown to be a great sign for relationships.

Staying connected in your relationship, having open and positive communication, and making your relationship a priority will bring you closer together. You will both be much happier and live a more Intentional Life.

If you are not in a relationship, who might you want to attract? A great place to start is by living your own Intentional Life. Don't wait for your soul mate to knock on your door or ring you up...get out there and live your life...your partner will find you.

Until next time...

Cheers!

Lisa
