Living an Intentional Life

a pilgrimage to self

In this post, I share how the ideas for A House With Four Rooms and A Pilgrimage to Self began when I was a child. I grew up in a broken and dysfunctional family, like many people. I left home at a young age and had to "figure things out" on my own...and I did. I worked hard; I tried to be sensible, and I tried to learn from my mistakes. I also tried to learn from the mistakes of others.

Early in my adulthood I came across a book by Rumor Godden...this is how I learned of the Indian Proverb: A House With Four Rooms. It resonated with me, and I began to "follow" the philosophy of "airing" out my four rooms daily: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I wanted to be the "complete" person described in the proverb.

When I got my divorce, I relied on this philosophy to help keep me stay centered and get me through the horrific time. I needed to "figure things out" again.

I'm thankful for my sense of perseverance, tenacity, work ethic, and courage. For years I prayed for courage, and for years I found myself in one situation or another that called for courage. Then I had an epiphany...I realized God was providing lots of opportunities for me to demonstrate that I did indeed have courage. I was reminded of the saying "be careful for what you wish for because you might get it." I decided not to pray for courage any more, and instead, I gave thanks for it. My life changed.

My Life Coaching membership, A Pilgrimage to Self developed as I walked the sacred pilgrims' route across Northern Spain. I was open to the lessons that I was learning and applying to my life. Each step provided healing. I found myself "figuring things out."

The membership only opens a few times a year so I can guide Pilgrims on their sacred journey. I have created different PATHS for designing an Intentional Life. The Pilgrimage is a metaphor for life...a sacred journey to your authentic self.

We follow the philosophy of A House With Four Rooms; however, Pilgrims are on their own PATHS as they design their own Intentional Lives. Some are walking the PATHS to design a clutter-free life, others are focused on becoming debt-free, while others may be developing action steps for healthy living.

The 2019 New Year, New You program begins on the PATHS of Self-Awareness and Reflection as Pilgrims start their sacred journeys. Once you discover where you are, what you have, and what you want...you can takes steps forward to your authentic self. Some Pilgrims discover they need to reconnect, while others, decide to reinvent themselves.

This is a perfect time to work on New Year's Resolutions, but YOU do not have to work alone...as a Pilgrim, you are supported, encouraged, and inspired.

Why not take the time right now to Subscribe with the link below. You will receive information and updates before the general public. Also, if you register for A Pilgrimage to Self on December 23rd, you'll receive an additional bonus.

Everyone seems to know someone that would benefit from a sacred journey as this...who do you know that you could recommend? Please share because we are better together when we journey together.

Cheers!

Lisa

The life philosophy of A House With Four Rooms suggests thinking of yourself as being four rooms: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual rooms. It advocates for doing something daily for your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
