Welcome to a Brave New World

Welcome to a Brave New World

Bravery is defined as having courageous behavior or character. Being brave can mean a lot of things. It takes bravery to stand before a crowd of people and sing. It takes bravery to face a devastating medical diagnosis and it takes bravery to stand up against a bully. These situations feel nothing alike, yet they all call for facing fears and doing the next right thing.

Members in my online coaching program walk the PATHS designed to help them become bulletproof and withstand difficult times with a brave mindset. And with this lifestyle blog, Stepping Stones from A Pilgrimage to Self,  I’ll be sharing insights, tips, facts, and inspiration that will help you see bravery in a new way and motivate you to take brave actions when they’re needed.

Do you consider yourself to be brave? The fact is, we are all brave - and likely braver than we give ourselves credit for. If you interview people who have done brave…and heroic things, you’ll see that they don’t generally consider themselves to be brave. They think of themselves more like ordinary people facing extraordinary issues that needed action. They simply did what they had to do in the situation they were in. It doesn’t take a superhero mindset to do brave things, but it does take a shift in mindset from fearful to bravery.

My posts will help break down the way fear holds bravery hostage and keeps good people from believing they can do brave things. It will also educate you to take steps to do things outside your comfort zone and develop your bulletproof mindset. You can expect to be inspired and motivated to try new things and be better prepared when difficult times come.

Bravery isn’t achieved through one big action. It’s a series of small actions that add up and work together. Actions like:

  • Facing fear head-on
  • Solving problems
  • Eating right
  • Resting
  • Maintaining your physical and mental health
  • Keeping a positive perspective
  • And more!

Each of these small things works hand-in-hand with one another and makes it easier to manage the stresses that come when life is difficult or challenging. Sure, you can be brave if you’ve not been eating well or sleeping at night, but it’s much easier to face tough things when your mind and body are well-nourished and rested.

You’re about to enter a brave new world where you can be the everyday hero for yourself and your family simply by your willingness to do hard things and stand up for what’s right. Being brave is something everyone is capable of and A Pilgrimage to Self will show you just how capable you are!

Until next time...

Lisa
