The Rest Tool Kit - Clever Tactics to Refresh and Renew

The Rest Tool Kit - Clever Tactics to Refresh and Renew

Tool kits are cool. Having a handy go-to for whatever you need makes quick work of any task. Having a hammer, nails, and measuring tape all in one location makes it really easy to hang a picture. You don’t have to hunt around for items before you can even get started. With a tool kit, everything you need is in one place so you can get down to the important task at hand.

You can create a tool kit for anything:

  • Sewing
  • Home improvement
  • Journaling

And

  • Resting

Creating a rest tool kit can make it easier to get the rest you need and refresh and renew quicker than you could without it. Let’s look at some clever tactics to create an effective tool kit:

Store important numbers in your phone- Making it easy to find important phone numbers for providers, babysitters, restaurants, etc… can make accessing what you need for rest fast and easy. Take the extra step to create contacts in your phone so you can make connections quickly.

Organize your tools for various types of rest- Some forms of rest are activity-based. Making rest easier by having the items you need handy can make things easier and more fun. If you love crafting, organize your crafts materials in an easy to access way. If you love to read or write, keep your books, journals, favorite pens, and other tools in a convenient location. Keeping your activity areas organized allows you to invest your time in the activity rather than stressing about getting things together.

Create a sacred sleep kit- Designate special pajamas, essential oils, and other items for a great night’s rest. For the times when you need to pamper yourself and do everything you can for quality sleep, make sure you have your favorite products available so you can feel your best when you head off for some rest. One of the essentials for me is having a comfortable pillow, regulating the air, and writing in my gratitude journal.

Create a spa kit for your home- Sometimes a long soak in the tub is just what you need to feel better. Creating a spa-themed experience at home is an awesome tool kit. From scented bath bombs to essential oils, fluffy robes, even items for mani-pedis can be kept at home. You can easily put together your favorite items to have on hand for a day of rest and relaxation.

Rest tool kits are an easy way to gather all the items you need in one space for days when you need to rest and relax. Having what you need at the ready makes indulging in self-care and your favorite activities easier and more relaxing.

What kits could you make to improve your daily life?

Until next time...
