Solving Problems - The Gateway to Bravery

 One of the reasons fear has power is because we give it power...that's why we need to build our skills to handle the unsolved and perceived problems that seem to dwell in our minds. We either worry that something awful will happen or worry we won’t be able to manage something that has happened. The fear of being unable to manage difficulties causes anxieties and vulnerability. Solving problems breaks fear’s hold when we begin to overcome obstacles.

 Solving problems is the gateway to bravery. Sure, some bravery comes from standing in the unknown and willingly facing whatever comes but a lot of bravery comes from conquering and overcoming roadblocks. By tackling tough problems, we become more self-assured and bravely feel stronger and more capable. This builds on itself and makes it possible to handle more intense problems in the future, making you more and more bulletproof. Here’s how…

 Finding solutions puts your energy to good use- When difficulties come, they create problems. These problems take a lot of your energy - generally by causing worry. The energy it takes to worry could be put to better use by breaking down the situations and seeing what needs to be done. After breaking things down into smaller pieces, you can begin to tackle them. Using your energy to start solving the problems is a much better use of your time and resources. As you start to take charge, you’ll sense that things aren’t as worrisome as you thought, and you’ll start to gain some confidence despite the difficult situation. You'll be taking your power back!

 Solving problems gives you confidence- Once you set your mind to solve problems, results are sure to follow. Seeing a change in circumstances is motivating. Sure, you might face some tough roadblocks but each time you do the work and see a positive result, your confidence will grow. Oftentimes this renewed confidence will help you feel less intimidated by the difficult situation. Remember, what you think about, you manifest...so think about solutions over problems.

 The more confident you are, the less intimidated you are- Once you start to see changes in the circumstances the more confident you’ll become. This confidence comes from taking action and seeing the direct result. You may have even discovered you can do much more than you thought even though the situation is difficult. As worry morphs into confident problem solving, you are well on your way to feeling quite capable in difficult situations. I often remind clients to feel the fear and do it anyway.

 The less intimidated you are, the more capable you are and the braver you’ll become-

Tackling tough situations gives you practical experience and develops skill sets to manage stress, take action under pressure, and laser your focus. All of these actions fall into the category of being brave and building a bulletproof mindset - even when things are really tough. Going through an intense situation or a series of difficult times provides the proving ground to practice these skills and help you feel more capable and braver.

 Solving problems is the Gateway to Bravery. Tackling difficult situations, learning as you go, and solving difficult problems builds character and proves that you are capable of much more than you might have believed. Each time you walk through the Gateway of Bravery, you get stronger and stronger at exercising your bravery muscles; you learn to face the fears, choose your response, and take action. Once you acquire the practical experience and first-hand knowledge that you can face tough times you’ll always have it to draw upon to move on and forward in your life.
