Role Models - Emulating Brave Influencers
Role Models - Emulating Brave Influencers
The surest path to learning something new is to find a great teacher, mentor, or coach. Finding someone who excels at the thing you want to be, do, or have makes it easier to cut to the chase and get the best information available. When it comes to building a brave mindset during difficult times, finding role models or coaches is an excellent way to go.
Role models or coaches can be people you have access to or admire from afar. Generally, what makes them appealing is the way they manage difficult times and appear to never sweat. Though everyone feels fear, role models tend to do it in a way that encourages you to rise up and be your best self under pressure too.
Your ideal role model or coach may be someone who has experienced the same issue you face and seems to be doing it with success. It might be someone who displays moral character or a certain drive that you admire and want to emulate. Whatever the motivation, role models and coaches tend to be people you’ve come to know, like, and trust over time. Witnessing their bravery influences you and encourages you that you can become bulletproof as well.
There are many ways to emulate brave influencers. You may or may not have access to them personally, but you can benefit from their expertise. Try one of these options:
- Read biographies
- Listen to interviews
- Ask for a mentorship
- Join a coaching program
If you don’t have access to someone who influences you, see if there are biographies, articles, or other written documents about their life. Learning more about what motivates them and how they came to behave and think like they do can inspire and motivate you on your own journey.
Social media is a perfect way to learn more about people. If you are impressed with someone and want to dive deeper into their mindset, look for interviews on social media platforms like YouTube, podcasts sites, or television. A simple search could yield a lot of results for content.
If you have access to the person you want to emulate, consider connecting with them for mentorship or coaching. You never know if someone may be willing and able to offer some direct pointers, coaching, or mentorship that can help you build your bulletproof mindset. Be sure to be prepared to invest in yourself and professional when asking for coaching, to increase the chances of a yes!
Having a role model or coach is like having a guide to show you the way. Finding people you can emulate and learn from helps fortify your journey to becoming brave during difficult times.
