REBOOT FOR A FRESH START

REBOOT FOR A FRESH START

Things happen. Things happen all of the time.  We make plans, we create intentions, and we get sidetracked. For me, I have to stay mindful on my tasks because I can get sidetracked by the shine and glitter too easily. It happened again today.

I've been participating in several challenges, and have even created a few for A House With Four Rooms and A Pilgrimage to Self

In December, I was challenged by one of my mentors to post something on the blog daily, and I did...I even continued for January! This post and a one about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are additional posts this month. My plan is to try to continue the practice because I've gotten a great response. Thank you, for your encouragement!

At the moment, I'm participating with a group in the UK on doing a video story challenge. Each day, for five days, we are given a prompt; we respond by video and with a story about the prompt. I'm not comfortable in front of a camera or video, but this is one way for me to conquer the fear and do it anyway.

Recently, I was challenged by another mentor to do a Facebook Live daily for 30 days...to just jump on and share a bit of what's happening in my life, on the website, and with the blog. I think I am up to day six. This is another challenge to get over the fear of being on camera. Hopefully, with practice, I'll get better and feel more comfortable.

Here's where the challenges crossed paths today. As I went out for a quick walk at lunch, I decided to do the Facebook Live for today. As my mentor advised, just jump on and share whatever comes to mind.

As I walked, I saw a Dead End sign. I began thinking about all my personal and business goals. I thought about my New Year's Resolutions and the fact that most people (about 80%) give up by the second week of February. I realized that tomorrow is the first and that I'm still working on my resolutions, but not with as much energy and intention.

I decided that I needed a reboot...a do over. So, as I jumped on the Facebook Live, I announced a Reboot for a Fresh Start Challenge. I hadn't thought it all the way through, but I offered 30 days of emails to help you REBOOT...get back on track...and accomplish your goals.

By the time I got back to my desk, I had worked out a plan.

I'll send an email out to participants each day starting tomorrow, February 1st. The challenge will follow the philosophy of the Indian Proverb: A House With Four Rooms. My plan is to concentrate on four focus areas: health, finances, career, and style.

Together, we will get a do-over...we will REBOOT our goals and get a FRESH START.

If you would like to join me for the 30 day REBOOT for a FRESH START CHALLENGE, make sure to use this link:

Let's do this!

Together, we will make an impact on our lives.

Cheers!

Lisa

The life philosophy of A House With Four Rooms suggests thinking of yourself as being four rooms: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual rooms. It advocates for doing something daily for your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
